I know I haven't uploaded anything in a long time. I haven't shot much in the last 6 months, and what I have was just boring family stuff. Picking up a 4x5 killed my want to use 35mm for anything nice, and being able to only get mediocre scans from the small prints I could make with my 4x5 negs killed me getting anythin up here. Now I went and baught myself a scanner that can handle 4x5 negatives, so I don't have to go through the wet darkroom printing stage in order to get stuff to scan. Needless to say I'm very happy with the quality. Scanning at below the maximum resolution on this one gave me a nice 55 megapixel image to work with. (That means Maximum sized Daprints at >300dpi)
Anyways. This is a photo I look last August out on the Oregon coast.

lol i haven't used a 5x4 camera in ages, lol even then i got a bad result. thats a really nice shot and i really like the compesition. Also the exposure looks great and theres a good amount of contrast. hehehe i you!!!
Yeah, well my lens doesn't have the greatest of coverage so I get quite a few dark corners when I start using rise & shifts. I don't mind though. I kind of like them.
lovely tones captured here...
such a serene and calm photo. It looks like a nice place to think
the foreground is appealing to the eye, it has various objects spaced out, and this is good as it doesn't clutter the photo.
I love those foot prints in the sand towards the bottom right
in the background, you can see a gorgeous mist cast over the landscape, and the tide gently sweeping in on the shore I can even spot a couple of birds grazing around on the sand.
my only critique is that black mark in the top right corner. this could easily be removed
Oregon looks like a beautiful place, (at least trough your photos )
I like the composition, with the big stones "scattered" on the sand, and the background dissapearing into the fog.

apart from that, perfect photo

my other complain would be the footprints at the bottom right corner...
otherwise, you've captured a dream-like scene!
